PTH acquires 100% of Datanet Infrastructure Group

On Friday, 22nd July 2011 Datanet Infrastructure Group became a wholly owned subsidiary of Pinnacle Technology Holdings Limited (PTH).

PTH and Datanet have been on an impressive growth path over the last couple of years, and we believe this transaction will aid us in the continued growth plans we have.

The process of integration of Datanet into Pinnacle Africa is close to finalisation. We believe the merge will enable us to leverage market share and brand equity in all processes, allowing us better negotiation capabilities for more competitive pricing and greater economies of scale as far as stock holding and delivery turn around times are concerned – all allowing for better pricing, service delivery and turn around times for you, our customer.

“I am personally excited about the future of Datanet; it has great brand equity, a good team and a fantastic product portfolio.” says Arnold Fourie, Chief Executive Officer of Pinnacle Technology Holdings.

This period also marks a change in senior management as Dave Lello has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer of Datanet Infrastructure Group. Dave will continue to contribute to the strategic direction and growth of Datanet in his role as Non-Executive Director on the Board of Directors.

As with any merge, a number of changes will take place over the coming weeks:
All existing accounts will be transferred to the Pinnacle Account Management system and we would like to request that all customers request a Pinnacle Dealer Application form from their Datanet representative.
The Datanet Head Office team will start trading from 128 15th Street, Midrand, on Monday 5th September
Datanet Cape Town will be relocating to Pinnacle Cape Town
The Cape Town team will start trading from 7 Pepper Place on Thursday, 1st September
At this time trading at our branches in Bloemfontein, Durban and Port Elizabeth will remain unchanged.

Please be assured that all contact numbers and e-mail addresses will remain the same - minimising the impact of these changes on our customers.

We will endeavour to make this process as seamless as possible to all customers, but please feel free to contact your regional branch manager with any queries or concerns you may have.

Kind regards,

Datanet Infrastructure Group
